Business class is a travel class available on many commercial airlines. In the airline industry, it was originally intended as an intermediate level of service between economy class and first class. However, many airlines now offer business class as their highest level of service, having eliminated first class seating.
Business class stands out from other travel classes due to the quality of its seating, food, drinks, ground service and other amenities. In commercial aviation, full business class benefits from schedule flexibility and is usually referred to by using the code letters ‘J’ or ‘C’, though other letters may be used depending on the circumstances.
